Reshmi Thomas, MCA, SAP-Information Developer

Reshmi Thomas is an MCA graduate from Madras Christian College.

She was working in the software industry as a software developer before she switched to Technical writing.

She was finding software development very mundane and monotonous and was toying with the idea of making a career change to content writing and editing owing to her childhood interest in creative writing. But this would mean that the 6 years shehad put into getting an MCA degree would go waste.

Then she came across an advertisment in the paper about a course in Technical Writing @ The Writers Block. She started reading up on Technical writing on the net and found that she could put her language skills as well as find use for her degree in computers to good use in this profession. So she signed up for the ‘Fundamentals in Technical writing’ course at TWB.

She chose TWB over other institutes because, as she says “TWB was very organised, had a system in place and had excellent tutors with solid industry experience and a passion for imparting knowledge. Right from Day 1 I could see the sincerity of the tutors, which in turn made me give it my very best. The course was intense and equipped me with skills required of a technical writer. Through TWB I got a 2 week internship with Intel while I was doing the course. And as soon as my course got over TWB helped me get placed at SAP Labs as an Information Developer in the SAP Netweaver Team. At SAP I could easily adapt to the workflow because of the training I had recieved at TWB”.

Team TWB wishes her all the best in her endeavors!
